Description

wood, black patina, white and blue pigment, string of glass beads, the neck carved with rings, eyes, hands and feet accentuated by indigoblue pigment, coiffure in several lobes, min. dam., fine cracks, slight traces of abrasion, base;
like all the other peoples living in the east of the Ivory Coast, the Abron belong to the ethnic group of the Akan. In woodcarvings the geographical locations of the Baule in the west and the Akan/Ashanti in the east can easily be seen.
