Description
wood, strongly encrusted greyish brown patina, well-balanced body shapes, face with regular features, coiffure with characteristic neck lobe (“trè si kpolè”), raised scarifications, slightly dam., cracks (stomach, breast, left side of the head), minor missing part (base), pedestal;
presumably representing a “blolo bla” figure. Because of the sacrificial traces it could be a representation of an “asie usu” bush spirit as well.
The object Standing female figure with the object ID 3035874 was last part of the auction 85th Tribal Art Auction at March 4, 2017 on Zemanek-Münster Auction house and had the lot number 168.
