Description

wood, shiny brown patina, textile loin cloth, strings of glass beads, raised scarification marks, min. dam., on wooden base;
the Alangoa are an ethnic group belonging to the Lagoon peoples of the Eastern Ivory Coast, to the west of the capital Abidjan. Their carved artwork is a subtle mixture of Baule and Akan styles.
