Description
light brown wood, slightly shiny patina, strong, slightly bent legs, the hands resting on the belly, head with a coiffure projecting to the back and a hole on top, min. dam., cracks, slight traces of abrasion, on wooden base;
in an extensive area to the north and the south of the border between Angola and the Congo basin, as well as in Zambia. Today’s Lunda enjoyed a territorial community with the Chokwe, who, between 1885 and 1887, were able to overturn the Lunda yoke.
