Description

wood, kaolin, pink pigment, brown patina, small face with deep cut rectangular face halves underneath a high rising flat forehead, drilled hole, slightly dam., cracks, abrasion of paint, base.
The Mbete (Ambete) are an ethnic group belonging to the southern Kota, and having their homeland partly in eastern Gabon, partly in the Republic of Congo.
