wood, greyish brown patina, encrusted in some areas, small deepenings in the head, sacrificial traces, slightly dam., base;
such “bateba” in shape of a couple in love act are placed on shrines by men who had difficulties in finding a wife. The order was given by the “thila”, supernatural beings, appointed by god to assist the people.
