Description

wood, pokerwork, labelled on the underside of the spoon: “chaîne symbolique du Mariage - Mœurs des natures de Mozambique - Souvenir de la Guerre des Boers - 1900”

A formally and stylistically almost identical spoon is published by Stevenson & Graham-Stewart, 2003, p. 44. Particularly typical of Muhlati are the circular eyes and the round, deepened ears with distinctive triangle.
