Description

wood, rich brown shiny patina, slender body with extremely elongated arms, accurately carved facial features with grooved coiffure, on cubic base;
present figure can be located in the Sankuru and Lufebu region because of certain style characteristics: above all the prominent form of the mouth and the distinct Philtrum (groove between nose and mouth), the curved hairline, the columnar neck and the large feet (compare Neyt, 2004, ill. 101).
