Description

wood, slightly shiny brown patina, remains of kaolin, torso with accentuated bladebones and thin extremities, raised chin, high towering headgear, dam., missing parts (lower legs, feet), slight traces of abrasion, base;
the Sundi live in the northern estuary of the Zaire (Kongo). Like their neighbours they used to carve a great variety of fetish figures of different size and “loaded” with different paraphernalias.
