Description

light brown wood, dark brown patina, of simple clear-cut form with a prominent long beard, a cavity filled with magical mass on the head, min. dam., slight traces of abrasion;
the Kasongo mainly produced small magical figures. These could be attached to spears or inserted in calabashs or baskets.


The object Small power half-figure “kakudji” with the object ID 3032282 was part of the auction 68th tribal art auction on March 3, 2012. The object with the lot number 217 achieved a sales price of EUR 400 with an asking price of EUR 200.
