Description

light brown wood, dark remains of pigments, of simplified form (especially the hands), min. dam., cracks (back), base;
the rare statuettes of the Tsogho were used for rites of the “bwiti” society (initiation society) and for the ancestral cult “mombe” (aside of reliquary busts, called “mumba bwiti”).
