Description
light-weighted wood, matt dark brown patina, the eyes nearly naturalistic formed, a flat nose, the mouth extreme broad with a thick upper lip and a visible row of teeth, drilled holes around the rim with remains of a costume, slightly dam. (ears), rep. at the base of the neck (breakages spread with blackish mass);
shows the characteristic traits of the “lipiko” helmet masks, which appear in connection with initiation ceremonies. They were worn by the young initiates “vaali” at the “mapiko” masquerade.
