wood, partly encrusted brown patina, standing aside of each other, the bodies nearly identical formed and grown together, simplified facial features, min. dam., slight traces of abrasion;
figures like these are sometimes identified as the “primordial couple”. Since so little is actually known about the meaning and use of these figures, terms such as “primordial couple” serve only to mask the true state of our knowledge. Here are shown two female figures, because of that it might be another special type.
