Description

ivory,

The rare figurine known as “Mr Zigzag” depicts a man who appears to be walking forwards and backwards. The distinctive zigzag shape is interpreted as a stylised representation of his arms. Figurines of this type are usually made of wood. Those carved from ivory are rare and therefore of particular interest.
