wood, dark brown patina, cylindrical torso with rectangular cavity, wearing a copper ring around the neck, oval head with small face, distant ears and three-parted coiffure, min. dam., slight traces of abrasion, base;
the Zombo are a small ethnical group living along the Inkisi river banks in the borderland between Zaire and Angola. The instument is played for ritual masquerade performances as well as for entertainment.
