brass, a) cuff, Burkina Faso/Gurunsi, h: 10 cm, d: 6,5 cm, typical motif: toothed triangular ornaments; b) cuff, h: 9,5 cm, d: 6,5 cm, checkerboard pattern in flat relief; c) cuff, h: 15 cm, d: 8 cm, fine grooved pattern, concentrical semicircles around the rims, crack; d) cuff, h: 17,5 cm, d: 9 cm, black patina, plaited bands and scrolled circles as ornament; e) cuff, h: 18 cm, d: 9,5 cm, cylindrical, a sharp-edged grooved pattern, vertical corrugated band in the middle, slightly dam., cracks; f) small manilla, h: 11 cm, d: 6,5 cm, slightly dam., missing parts, cracks, traces of old age and usage (concentrical semicircles strongly abraded);
cuffs were the most valuable ornament of women and were worn on special festive occasions.
