Description

wood, strongly encrusted black patina, simplified block-like body, overlong forearms with the palms of the hands turned upwards and stretched to the front in a striking gesture, the body entirely coated with encrusted black sacrificial patina, the stool resting on a kind of knob pierced by a large rusty nail, slightly dam., missing parts (hands), rep. (breakage at the back of the knob), base;
presumably ritually used, possibly once crowning a staff.


The object Shrine figure with the object ID 3038062 was part of the auction 79th Tribal Art Auction on March 21, 2015, lot number 238 at that time and is currently available for EUR 2,000 in Open sale.
