Description

metal, wood, metal hilt, partly stretched with leather, leather scabbard, min. dam., slight traces of corrosion and abrasion;
the Yaka have developed distinctly functional swords. There is little decoration on the blades but the hilts are often quite artistically designed, covered with leather and adorned with copper wires. The scabbards can also be quite decorative. The wood scabbards are either plain or are covered with leather and held together by rattan cords.
