Description
wood, reddish brown patina, plant fibre, raised medial ridge on both sides, originally 48 teeth fixed by sennit binding through drilled holes set within a grove along each edge, slightly dam., some teeth broken;
shark teeth were used in cutting tools and weapons from Hawaii to New Zealand in Polynesia, and in Kiribati in Micronesia.
