Description

red clay, remains of pigments, male/female, the female holding a vessel, rest., min. dam., minor missing parts, slight traces of abrasion;
the right hand up to the shoulder supporting a receptacle, the left hand resting underneath the breast. This is a common gesture of female figures made by West Coast cultures. It’s supposed to be a hint on female fertility.
