Description
wood, small bowl with remains of kaolin in the right hand
Figures of the Mbala are generally called “pindi” and belong to a chief’s treasure. The small bowl with remains of kaolin in the figures right hand indicates that it was once used by a diviner “nganga” in healing ceremonies.
