Two figures by the same artist are shown in Cole & Ross (1977), p. 179, fig. 357. Another was auctioned at Zemanek-Münster on 29 June 2019 (lot 149).

This figure was most probably part of a grouping of figures on a support for one of the “ntan” or “ompe” drums that form the popular drum ensembles among the Fante.


The object Seated female figure with the object ID 3046167 was last part of the auction 93rd Tribal Art Auction at November 16, 2019 on Zemanek-Münster Auction house and had the lot number 172.
