The use and location of this object remains unclear. According to Wheelock, “club-like sceptres in this flat, elegantly curved form appear to originate from the Bobo and were probably carried by dancers or used in ceremonies” (according to Roy & Wheelock, 2007, p. 431). These objects were previously attributed to the Senufo.
The object Scepter or dance emblem “kebere” with the object ID 3052234 was part of the auction Auction 105 on November 15, 2025, lot number 248 at that time and is currently available for EUR 1,500 in Open sale.
