Description

wood, blackish brown patina, round seat with crescent-shaped pierced handle, incised ornaments at the rim, min. dam., slight traces of abrasion;
Mangbetu women used to carry stools with them wherever they went. But only Chiefs possessed two storied stools in order to sit on a higher level than the surrounding women.
