brass, dark patina, bearded kneeling figure with pierced crown-shaped coiffure, above a small round platform mounted on iron spike, rep. (breakages at the head/coiffure), traces of corrosion, acrylic base;
sometimes the “edan” are worn around the neck, like amulets, or displayed at the opening of the “oshugbo” annual festival.
