Description
wood, partly shiny brown patina, slightly curved handle, crowned by a human head with asymmetrical facial features and pierced nostrils, min. dam., traces of abrasion, metal socle;
the Bari are a small ethnical group living in the swampy regions of the upper White Nile in the southwestern area of the Sudan. Only a few figures of them are known up to nowadays and their function is controversial.
