A comparable axe was collected by the Austrian ethnologist Rudolf Kmunke during his research trip through Uganda in 1911/12 at the Acholi (compare Zirngibl 1983, p. 140, Fig. 158).


The object Rare adze with prominent trident head with the object ID 3045925 was part of the auction 93rd Tribal Art Auction on November 16, 2019. The object with the lot number 393 achieved a sales price of EUR 350 with an asking price of EUR 200.
