Description

wood, brown patina, partly encrusted, shield-shaped, carved with raised vertical ridges, slightly dam., minor missing parts (rim zone), metal base;
this wooden form was used to make the model for a “kutu” anklet. These heavy anklets could have a weight of more than seven kilo and were reserved for the women of chiefs.
