wood, dark brown patina, strongly encrusted, shield-shaped, carved with raised vertical ridges, minor missing part, patina chipped off, base;
this wooden form was used to make the model for a “kutu” anklet. These heavy anklets could have a weight of more than seven kilo and were reserved for the women of chiefs.
