Description

wood, middle and dark brown patina, square base, consisting of narrow wooden planks, figurally carved legs: each depicting a seated figure with long neck lobe (probably Eshu), crowned by small animal scultpure, equestrian figure in the centre, oval seat, slightly dam. (nose tips), minor missing parts (base of one of the figures).
A stool is always a symbol for the high social rank of its owner. Such stools were used for representative purposes or at initiation ceremonies.
