Description

wood, partly shiny brown patina, string of plant fibre and animal skin, head with elongated chin beard, cavity in the head filled with magical material, min. dam., cracks, small missing parts, slight traces of abrasion;
the Kasongo are neighbours with the Hemba, the Songe, the Bangubangu, the Kusu and the Tetela, which influenced their figures stylistically.


The object Power half figure “kakudji” with the object ID 3032698 was last part of the auction 72nd tribal art auction at March 9, 2013 on Zemanek-Münster Auction house. The object with the lot number 139 achieved a sales price of EUR 850.
