Figures of the Mbala are generally called “pindi” and are usually part of the chiefs’ treasure. Such small figures were used by the sorcerer “nganga” for healing ceremonies.


The object Power figure “pindi” with the object ID 3045747 was last part of the auction 92nd Tribal Art Auction at June 29, 2019 on Zemanek-Münster Auction house. The object with the lot number 227 achieved a sales price of EUR 1,500.
