Description

wood, dark brown patina, partly encrusted, mirror glass, iron chain, headgear and receptacle in front of the belly filled with magical mass, eyes with glass inlay, min. dam., cracks, traces of insect caused damage and abrasion, base.
As soon as the magical material “bilongo” was inserted by the witchdoctor, the object was considered to be “magically loaded” and its power “nkisi” could be activated by certain incantations.


The object Power figure “nkisi nduda” with the object ID 3043582 was last part of the auction 88th Tribal Art Auction at March 10, 2018 on Zemanek-Münster Auction house and had the lot number 382.
