Description

wood, brown patina, black paint, red pigment, eyes inlaid with white miniature glass beads, armless body with animal horn fastened to one side (closed by cloth stopper), wrapped in fabric which is covered by a thick layer of encrusted clay-like mass, slightly dam., mass missing in parts, base;
such figures served as containers for sacred substances. In case of the present figure the loading could be inserted in the deep hole in the head and in the animal horn.


The object Power figure with the object ID 3042143 was last part of the auction 86th Tribal Art Auction at May 27, 2017 on Zemanek-Münster Auction house. The object with the lot number 162 achieved a sales price of EUR 1,200.
