Description

wood, light brown and blackish brown patina, kaolin, elongated narrow face with beautiful profile, crowned by elaborate high towering coiffure arranged in six lobes, beautiful detail: carved with a small ornamental comb on the backside, abundant scarification marks across the forehead and on the cheeks, typical “ngole” tattoos at the temples, drilled ear holes, crossbar backside for additionally fixing the mask with the teeth, slightly dam., minor missing parts, cracks, abrasion of paint, metal base
