wood, rich dark brown patina, of narrow form with elongated nose bridge and slightly asymmetrical arranged eyes, projecting small mouth nearly situated at the tip of the chin, raised scarification marks on temples and cheeks, eye-catching skewness of the coiffure (two lobes to the right and three to the left side of the middle lobe), two drilled holes for attachment, old collection label backside: “206. Tanzmaske der Baoule-Gouro Elfenbein Küste”, inscribed at the same place: “V 6477” (Vömel), slightly dam., scratches, vertical crack under left eye, place of restoration and missing parts at the lower rim on the left, abrasion of paint (forehead, nose), beautiful aged patina
