This phallus was probably once part of a clay/ terracotta figure representing the god “Legba”. The followers of this cult also sometimes wore such phallic symbols under their robes.


The object Phallus symbol with the object ID 3046377 was part of the auction 94th Tribal Art Auction on March 7, 2020. The object with the lot number 37 achieved a sales price of EUR 450 with an asking price of EUR 400.
