Description

tube-shaped orange glass beads, thread on cord, pendant in shape of four anthropomorphic heads, arranged side by side, made from brass in lost wax cast, metal eyelets, old age patina;
the number of heads worn as decoration formally represented the number of heads cut off by the wearer and is proportional to his prestige. Up to this day the Konyak village of Wangti ranks as one of the most important production centres for this type of necklace. They are sold throughout the eastern and northern Naga territory.
