Tell Brak is an ancient settlement mound (“Tell”) in northeastern Syria. It was an important urban center for the cultures of the 3rd and 2nd millennia BC, particularly during the Akkadian and later Hurrian periods, as well as during the Mitanni kingdom in northern Mesopotamia.
