Description

wood, white, black and red paint, beautiful modelled regular facial features, slightly dam., darkened paint, on base;
image of a beautiful young maiden. Used in No dramas like “kocho” or “funa-benkei”. Although the facial expression is fixed, a good actor is able to create different emotions just by slightly moving the head and thus causing different light incidences.


The object No-mask “ko-omote” with the object ID 3032168 was part of the auction 68th tribal art auction on March 3, 2012. The object with the lot number 134 achieved a sales price of EUR 3,300 with an asking price of EUR 800.
