Description
wood, dark brown patina, in shape of a stylized animal with the head of a hornbill and tail, the ornamental arranged flanks fragmentary, strengthened by a tapering middle ridge on the underside, old collection number “71.6.55” on the pillow, slightly dam., metal socle;
the head piece reminding of the hook figures of the southern peripheral Sepik area.
