Description

tanned hide, sinews, polychrome miniature glass beads, embroidered with vertical band, thong (torn/resp. missing), rawhide soles, slightly dam. (tear).
The hard and thorny grassland of the plains required soles more firm than those needed for the soft soil of the forest. So the Plain Indians additionally attached robust rawhide soles to their moccasins.
