Description

  1. six southern crosses “boghdad”, Morocco, Gulimim, Djebel Bani, Pre-Sahara and Mauritania, silver(alloy(?), hollow work, granule and engraved, glass cabochon, m: 2,3 cm x 2,3 cm to 6 cm x 5 cm; w: 93 g

  2. two crosses of the south “boghdad”, Mauritania, silver(alloy(?), nails with silver, metal beads, wood, m: 3,9 cm x 3,7 cm and 5,5 cm x 5,5 cm; w: 27 g

Simple crosses on wood with metal beads are found mainly in Mauritania and the adjacent areas of the Sahara.

  1. two small amulets, Mauritania / Sahara, Tuareg, silver(alloy(?), chased and engraved, attached silver beads, m: 3,5 cm x 2,8 cm and 3,8 cm x 4,8 cm; w: 42 g

The design of these amulets is typically Moorish, but they can also be found in this form among the Tuareg.
