Description

light coloured wood, remains of black and red paint, oval hollowed mask face with a board-shaped flattened framing, sickle-shaped pierced eyes, various drilled holes, slightly dam., minor missing parts, paint rubbed off;
these masks were used by the “ekpo”-society during the planting and harvesting of yams.
