Description

wood, light brown patina, delicate round staff carved with signs and symbols (by incised lines lengthwise subdivided in two halves, each with triangular patterns that are tooth-like meshed), traces of old age.
According to enclosed file card: “Rain stick (“him singer rain”) bought from Frankie, a fullblooded aboriginal, at Birdum, Northern Territory, Australia, Jan 1931”.
