Description

typical indigo blue “sabu cloth” robe of strips of cotton fabric which are sewn together, narrow neck decolletage, extremely fine characteristic Bida embroidery showing clearly the “egba jufon” (small sword), the “gabiya” (triple leaf), the “gbanko tsufon” (strip above pocket) and the “gidan nazuman” (circle on the left), slightly dam., blotches (neck decolletage, embroidery);
such vestments were reserved for men of high social prestige.
