Description
wood, black patina, kaolin, with pointed chin, openworked eyes and mouth, dam., missing parts through insect caused damage, slight traces of abraison, base;
probably an object of the “ndunga” society. The “ndunga” society stands in the service of the “ntinu” (king) and the chiefs of the “great families” and had policing and military function.The members of the “ndunga” are guarantors of the maintenance of power and respect for the law.
