Description
wood, greyish brown patina, blue, black and red pigment, face with elongated nose bridge and narrow see slits, open snout with remains of blackish mass inside, the overlong flat horns painted in stripes, dam., missing parts through insect caused damage (broad crack between the ears filled with mass), rep. (breakage/middle of the right horn), abrasion;
possibly representing an antelope. Presumably used at rites of the initiation societies “ntomo” or “koré”.
