Description
wood, kaolin, black and red paint, characteristic feature: a projecting mouth with bare teeth, drilled holes which may have served for insertion of feather ornament, janus head with flat projections aside, slightly dam., missing parts, cracks, paint rubbed off;
the double faces of the superstructure reflect the concept of duality, an important theme in southeastern Nigerian art.
