Description

wood, black paint, remains of kaolin, coiffure in two flat bows, filed teeth, scarification marks on forehead and temples, min. dam., small missing parts (back), slight traces of abrasion;
depicting a beautiful young woman, used in a “play” called “lughulu” that includes the familiar opposition of pretty females and ugly males.


The object Mask “lughulu” with the object ID 3042353 was last part of the auction 86th Tribal Art Auction at May 27, 2017 on Zemanek-Münster Auction house and had the lot number 315.
